Invitational Mode:

System consisting of a low power laser and an optical receiver built into mobile phones allowing for interaction among individuals within visual proximity of each other and without the parties needing to have prior knowledge of each other's mobile phone numbers.

After initial contact is communicated by laser, subsequent interaction among the parties need not require use of laser and can be facilitated via common application server and without any requirement for parties to exchange any personal identifying information.

Universal Mode:

System consisting of a low power laser built into mobile phones allowing for interaction with businesses or organizations without a requirement to divulge personal identifying information.

After contact is initiated by laser, subsequent interaction need not require use of laser and is facilitated by common application server.

Either Mode:

Allows multiple individuals present at a given location to easily and rapidly sign in and participate in an interactive gaming or social platform without any requirement to divulge or exchange personal identifying information.

Includes provision to allow venue operators to limit or control use of the playzer within venue bounds.

Optional mode uses infrared laser instead of visual laser.
